Zimbabwe Constitution making process resumes
According to the Sunday Times Live, Zimbabwe has resumed its constitution making process with a two day training workshop attended by over 600 participants from political parties and civil society. The workshop was designed to equip participants with skills to participate in thematic constitutional committees. The constitutional process had been stalled for almost two months due to financial constraints which prevented the Constitutional Parliamentary Committee (COPAC) - the main body charged with drawing up the new constitution - from meeting its deadlines, as well as the increasingly acrimonious relationship between President Robert Mugabe's ZANU-PF and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change (MDC)
