This document displays the report of the discussions of Citizen's Convention which was held at the Mulungushi Conference Centre in Lusaka that takes place from March 1, 1996 to March 10, 1996. The Mwanakatwe Draft Constitution was the fundamental subject of the Citizens' Convention. The main aim was to debate the provisions and come up with a people's constitution in reaction to the Government's constitution. The report also includes the Mwanakatwe Draft Constitution as well as the appendixes regarding all the submissions that were made and discussed at the convention. These include Citizens Convention Communiqué and submissions by committees set up by the convention to consider particular issues. Of special mention is the submission on women's and children's rights, land and natural resources policy and labor policies. Moreover, citizens' Green paper regarding the summary of resolutions by the citizens' convention on the draft and the list of participant citizens' convention can also be found at the end of the report.
