Ability to Vote No Confidence
In some countries, the legislature is able to take a vote of no confidence and effect the removal of the government. Significantly, under some constitutions, a vote of no confidence may entail the dissolution of the legislature. Despite the political burden of such an arrangement, the empowerment of the legislature to vote no confidence in the government remains an indicator of power.
