Training programme

The new Constitution Builders CONNECT Resource – is an interactive training tool that reinforces sharing experiences as a means to building the capacity of practitioners to solve some of the dilemmas that they face in constitution building.

Project Description

Obtain the recognition of the collective and individual rights of the Bolivian indigenous people in the Political State Constitution by the Civil Society and the public opinion. Target Group: 500 leaders of indigenous communities and 30 indigenous Constituent Assembly members. General objetives: Indigenous Organizations of highlands and lowlands have contributed to the deepening of participatory democratic institutions with a significant presence in the Constituent Assembly process for the construction of a plurinational state recognition of indigenous peoples' rights in legislation national civil society and public opinion. 1.1. Design / setting and developing a training plan based on the experience already gained in the first phase of the CA. 1.2. Identification, selection and monitoring of potential participants to train. 1.3. Training of Constituent indigenous leaders (during and after the CA). 2.1. Workshops, seminars and discussion forum, to strengthen, sustain and strengthen the proposal by the New Constitution of the State. 2.2. Tables of information technology, analysis, reflection and proposition of the proposals to internal organizations for the continued feedback on the process and the re-formulation of proposals for laws (for the CA) and regulations (after CA) 2.3. Legal technical advice to constituent authorities, indigenous leaders. 2.4. Management and negotiation of proposals within the CA. 3.1. Design and implementation of a plan for communication and dissemination of indigenous proposals in the CA (for the Constituent Assembly). 3.2. Design and implementation of communication and education plan on the Rights of the PIOs, strengthening the rights of indigenous women and children to be widespread in media, in schools and colleges (during and after the CA).
