Nepal: CNP conditions particiation in Nov's CA polls on resignation of Chief Justice and formation of new government

<p><strong>Kathmandu, Sept 12:</strong> CPN Maoist secretary Dev Gurung Thursday said that his party would take part in Constituent Assembly polls slated for November 19 if IEC chairman Khil Raj Regmi resigned from the post of chief justice and a new unity government is formed according to Article 38.1 of Interim Constitution.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>"We are open about the candidate to lead the government," said leader Gurung, speaking at Reporters Club in Kathmandu on Thursday. "We don't have any objection whether the government is led by an independent candidate or a political leader." He further said that his party would not object even if the parties forward Regmi as their candidate.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
