Numerical strength alone can’t ensure legitimacy of new Constitution, Nepal CSOs warn

<p>Civil society as well as political leaders have warned that promulgation of new constitution solely on the basis of numerical strength in the Constituent Assembly (CA) could pose threats to the legitimacy of the statute.&nbsp;Speaking at a seminar -- ´Strengthening Legitimacy of the Constitution Drafting Process and Consolidating Peace´ -- organized jointly by UNDP-Nepal and Conciliation Resources in the capital on Wednesday, they also highlighted the need to give due considerations to the voices and grievances all forces including those outside the CA to promulgate a lasting constitution.&nbsp;</p>
