Sri Lankan President agrees to general elections only after introducing electoral reforms

<p>Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has decided that the next general election will be held only after the implementation of both, the 19th and 20th Amendments to the Constitution.</p><p>The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) led by President Sirisena has decided that the next general election should be held only after the passing of the 19th Amendment targeting constitutional reforms and the 20th Amendments aimed at electoral reforms.&nbsp;<span style="line-height: 20.4000015258789px;">The decision was made by the SLFP parliamentary group at a meeting held last evening under the patronage of President Sirisena.</span></p>
