Tunisia: NCA President Lectures in Canada On Tunisian Constitutional Experience

<p>Visiting Canada, President of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Mustapha Ben Jaafar lectured, on Wednesday in the McGill Faculty of Law in Montreal, on the constitutional process in Tunisia.</p><p>According to the spokesman of the NCA presidency, Mofdi M'seddi, Ben Jaafar reviewed the peculiarities of the Tunisian new Constitution which, beyond its consensual nature, has come to consecrate freedoms. Before an audience made up of students and researchers, Ben Jaafar also briefed on the different stages of drafting the Constitution emphasising, in this connection, the role of dialogue and consensus in the elaboration of this fundamental law.</p><p>Mustapha Ben Jaafar is visiting Canada, April 1-4, leading a delegation of deputies and Tunisian businessmen.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
