Nepal Dalit Charter

This document was produced by five Dalit Regional Conferences, held in 2007.  It details a background of Dalits, and makes a list of demands.  These include establishing the facts, citizenship, representation and participation in the Constituent Assembly, effective measures to end untouchability, participation in public bodies and national life, restructuring the State, effective institutions, employment and the economy, human rights, religion, education, health, water, the right to fair administration, affirmative action, empowerment, heritage, Dalit women, transitional justice, commitment to radical change, the New Constitution, the implementation of a new Constitution, and party programmes.
