Opinions of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) regarding Representative Government, Citizenship and Suffrage

African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) supports the idea of making provision in the constitution for structures of civil government to be representative. Pursuant to their views, citizens should be able to vote for people who will represent their interests and the values they esteem highly. By this submission, the ACDP mentions their views on the necessity of more than one political party and to allow citizens to mobilize support for their particular legitimate interests, both in and outside government. Accountability of the government to ordinary people and the voting as a democratic right of a citizen was also indicated in this paper.
